What I can provide for the right company: Updated, compatible, and accessible XHTML/CSS, serious online networking savvy, engaging written content, audio/video/text weblog production, enthusiasm.
My Ideal Work Environment: I enjoy enthusiasm and support as we come up with new ways of communicating with the public, and a little time to research the latest standards and fast-paced changes in Web technology. Strongly desired: an environment with a good sense of humor, genuine enthusiasm, and a sense of responsibility about company impact on our environment as well as our society.
What makes me a good social networker? The best way to connect with people through social networking is to be a good participant and contribute interesting and helpful content. That's all it takes: common sense, good manners, and thoughtful words.
What I do when I'm not sitting at my desk: I feel fortunate to live in the Pacific Northwest for the amazing geography and climate conducive to camping, backpacking, sailing, and snow sports. I do a lot of yoga to counteract the strains and stresses of full-time desk work. I also participate in theatre, dance, and other performing arts when time allows, as both an artist and an audience member.
Volunteer and Community Work: Much of my volunteer services involve offering free Web hosting and administration to artists and organizations in my community who couldn't otherwise afford it. I occasionally teach workshops in HTML/CSS and introduction to yoga techniques in my home.
